SYM-10 of the Standard Model Symmetry Arc
Quotient Transport, Fixed-Point Structure, Effective Envelopes, and a Realized Vacuum-Sector Correspondence
This paper develops a target-indexed classification of scale symmetry, renormalization-group flow, effective-field-theory matching, fixed points, universality, dimensional transmutation, and emergent symmetry.
It separates several operations that are frequently described with overlapping language:
active dilatations on fields and states;
renormalization-group transport on theory space;
scheme, regulator, normalization, and field-coordinate redescriptions;
EFT threshold matching between distinct effective envelopes;
changes of physical state or phase;
fixed-point symmetry;
infrared symmetry and its possible ultraviolet emergence ancestry.
The analysis fixes a renormalized QFT/EFT target containing the theory and operator basis, physical quotient, scale interval, lawful presentation class, effective envelope, threshold and matching data, background and boundary structure, state or phase, symmetry data, and the anomaly, Ward, fixed-point, conformal, emergent-symmetry, or vacuum-sector premise bundle.
The manuscript derives a renormalized trace identity in which explicit mass terms, beta-function contributions, anomalous dimensions, operator mixing, improvement terms, equations-of-motion and contact terms, and background contributions remain separately typed. It distinguishes the raw beta vector on coupling coordinates from the beta vector induced on the nonredundant physical quotient, preventing redundant or flavor-coordinate motion from being mistaken for physical running.
Scale-indexed descriptions are shown to descend through a presentation quotient to composable renormalization-group transport maps when explicit overlap, quotient, continuation, effective-envelope, and matching conditions are satisfied. Scheme changes are treated as lawful presentation transformations only when couplings, beta functions, operator bases, anomalous dimensions, Wilson coefficients, matching maps, and observable reconstruction are transported coherently.
Universality classes and fixed points are treated as quotient-stable structures rather than numerical coincidences among microscopic coordinates. The nonredundant stability spectrum supplies relevant, irrelevant, and marginal response classes. Conformal enhancement remains conditional on the dimension, locality, unitarity, stress-tensor, spectrum, and virial-current assumptions actually used.
The paper treats effective theories above and below a threshold as distinct envelopes connected by matching morphisms. Dimensional transmutation is classified as the formation of an RG-invariant scale relation from running coordinates and boundary or integration data; it does not by itself select a unique numerical scale. An infrared symmetry is classified by its own action, operator locus, scale window, state or phase, controlled breaking, and anomaly data. The stronger claim that such a symmetry emerges from a specified ultraviolet theory requires a separate UV-to-IR matching and deformation-ancestry record.
A scale/no-promotion theorem blocks the use of an arbitrary renormalization scale, cutoff, subtraction point, fitted threshold, bare parameter, naturalness preference, or unanchored vacuum expectation value as an independent physical scale selector.
In the restricted homogeneous metric-proportional vacuum sector V0V_0, the manuscript proves that scalar AASC standing is equivalent to descent to the ordinary QFT finite-renormalization quotient. The absolute matter-sector vacuum coefficient is presentation-dependent, while relational differences, response quantities, and the gravitationally renormalized total coefficient remain in distinct physical roles.
The integrated result is a renormalization-covariant scale and emergent-symmetry normal form that distinguishes intrinsic infrared symmetry from ultraviolet-emergence provenance and provides a typed scale-sector handoff to SYM-11.
The paper does not derive Standard Model beta functions or anomalous dimensions from AASC, determine numerical couplings, masses, thresholds, or transmutation scales, prove unrestricted scale-to-conformal enhancement, solve the hierarchy or cosmological-constant problems, classify every fixed point or emergent symmetry, or complete the whole-arc candidate-exhaustion theorem.
